In recent years, the concept of transumanism has been propelled exponentially from the fringes of scientific debate to the penetration of the very foundations of society. Transhumanism is the belief that humans can improve beyond their physical and mental limitations and “upgrade” their bodies by incorporating technology, it encourages the use of artificial enhancements to push mankind towards something “more than” human. Humanity has already surpassed the cusp of new era where we will merge man with machine; despite any good intentions such as reducing suffering or improve quality of life; I believe the true goals of the movement are far more dystopian than anyone may realise. It has been taken to an extreme and become a pursuit of immortality, an escape from moral boundaries, and has become a form of religion in and of itself.
No matter how convincing it may be, ultimate redemption of mankind is something that will be accomplished by God alone, not by technology. Once a person takes the view that they can re-create themselves, they place themselves in an unrealistic spiritual position and usurp the prerogatives of God. When we have the belief that human beings can change themselves and create a heaven on earth, the transhumanism movement obviously contradicts the Bible when it assumes that humanity is completely sovereign and capable of self-directed change without the need for God (Jeremiah 17:9). Ultimately this is taking us back to the Tower of Babel where they believed the same: that they could be their own god, that they could reach the heavens in their own strength, without God- “let us build a tower up to the heavens” (Genesis 11:4), and back to the garden where Gnosticism was formed with the intent of breaking out the boundaries of God’s creation through forbidden knowledge, driven by the lie that we will “be like God” (Genesis 3:5).
The conditioning of transhumanism is subtle, yet pervasive, and it stems from the very moment of Satan’s fall. Technology has been integrated into every aspect of our lives and we have been conditioned to the point that the lines of boundaries have been blurred between digital and biological. Humans are drawn to this technology through a deceptive lure, through messages that portray a cure to diseases and a halt to ageing, a transcending of the natural state even to the point that transhumanisits are promising a future where death is optional. Again I have to remind you that this idea is not new; it clearly echoes the serpent’s lie in the Garden of Eden: “You surely will not die!” (Genesis 3:4). We are yet again being lured by the lie that we will become like gods, with the power of determining our own destinies and many are falling for it. The transhumanist pursuit of immortality is a seducing counterfeit of the true victory over death that Christ offers and I believe satan is using this lie more and more to keep people from seeing the need for a saviour- as they believe eternal life can somehow be achieved through other means. As Bible believing Christian’s we know that immortality is not found in technology or genetic modifications but in the death and resurrection Jesus Christ alone.
“I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the father except through me” John 14:6.
“For the perishable must put on the imperishable, and the mortal must put on immortality. When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “death is swallowed up in victory” 1 cor 15:53-54.
The agenda of transhumism is fully wrapped up and held together by the world’s religions today- from pagan cults to the new age movement and atheism; they are all intertwined. It’s important to note that the individuals that are actively pushing for the progression in transhumanism are also partakers in the new age movement- These individuals believe that we are on the brink of entering a “new age” in which people must evolve mentally and spiritually- and its the very thing that’s leading transhumanism. They believe achieving a conscious evolution requires the next step to becoming a “superhuman” through the means of “mind, medicine and technology.”
Conscious evolution is a new age concept that they believe is the next step for humanity. It is a theory that suggests humans can evolve toward a better society. Peter thiel, co-founder of PayPal, Plantir technologies and founders fund has stated that he believes our next conscious evolution is through “transhumanism so that we can co-create with God”, he believes that God has given us the technology and brain power so that we can reach ‘His level’. Obviously from a true biblical perspective we cannot. Our knowledge, power and ability simply cannot even begin to compare to that of the Creator, and no matter what technology is developed, we will never be able to make our bodies immortal or usurp God’s original designs of creation- “people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment” (Hebrews 9:27). The trans-humanist agenda is a false wonder: promising salvation through technology.
The term “new normal” was coined during the 2008 financial crisis, referring to dramatic economic, cultural and social changes but definitely became more well known after COVID-19 in 2020. At a deeper level, this phrase is talking about the next step/ evolution/ knowledge to advance us forward. Really this concept comes from the idea of “a new world view”- this is a “holistic” perspective that considered the world as an interconnected whole. As you may already know, new age philosophy also holds the same view of this “world interconnectedness”- this belief they hold to refers to the concept that everything in the universe is part of a larger unified web. New age connects this interconnectedness to a universal “consciousness” or “spiritual energy that binds all things together in harmony”.
“Balance” and “harmony” is a central concept in all false religions in the world. The belief in achieving harmony physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually by finding middle-ground between ‘opposing forces’ and “embracing the interconnectedness” of everything in the universe is based around the concept of ‘aligning chakras’ in order to ‘reach serpent knowledge’ (called “naga” in Hinduism). This is the belief that our reality and existence is part of an infinite pattern and is part of the ‘oneness’ of the individual and universe (a balance of light and dark, masculine and feminine etc). This is part of the macro-cosm, micro-cosmetic belief- micro meaning ‘us’ and macro meaning the universe. This concept is where we get the phrase “as above, so bellow” (above meaning universe, bellow meaning us).
This phrase and belief branches into many aspects of life today through mundane phrases, concepts and objects that we wouldn’t even think twice about. The phrase is known to originate from the “emerald tablets of Hermes trismegistus” and is a popular motto among occultists. The emerald tablets is an ancient text considered a foundational document in Hermetic philosophy and the concept is often used in various practices such as astrology, tarot readings, alchemy and spirituality (new age) where it is seen as a principle for understanding the ‘interconnectedness of all things’. Unfortunately the concept has also been adopted by many “Christian’s” as well, knowing, or unknowingly- seeing the demonic roots it has, we should have no part in this belief concept.
A prime characteristic of hermeticism appears to be the search for secret wisdom or knowledge through the means of breaking out of creation- which is the exact same belief of gnostisism- which explains why these two religions arose in popularity during the same era.
Hermeticism is a pagan religion based on the supposed writings of Hermes Trismegistus, whose name means “Hermes, Thrice Great” in Greek. The personage is thought to be an amalgamation of the Greek god Hermes and the Egyptian god Thoth due to the fact that these two ‘gods’ were synonymous in their character and roles. Hermes Trismegistus is believed to be a deity of writing, magic, astrology and alchemy (chemistry). The emerald tablet, thought to be attributed and written by Hermes Trismegistus, however there is a lot of speculation on this. The text appears in a number of early medieval Arabic sources, the oldest which dates to the late 8th-9th century. The tablet is said to contain the ‘secrets of the universe’ as well as the recipe for the philosophers stone, believe to be an alchemical substance capable of turning base metals such as mercury into gold (alchemists additionally believe that it could be used for rejuvenation or immortality).
Make no doubt about it, this is a spiritually-led revolution, and its right under our noses, in our houses, in our churches- and no we cannot compromise or trifle with this darkness – “you cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have part in both the Lord’s table and the table of demons”. (1 Corinthians 10:20-21).
The name of Hermes was found on the Rosetta Stone in the Egyptianised form “Hermes the great, great, great”- this is where they first learned about Hermes Trismegistus; because he was referenced on the stone itself. The Rosetta Stone is an inscribed stone slab that was discovered by french soldiers in 1799 near a town called “rosetta” and it bears inscriptions in several languages and scripts. The inscriptions apparently composed by the priests of Memphis, written in the 9th year of Ptolemy V Epiphanes reign (205-180 bc) in commemoration to his accession to the throne. It is inscribes in Egyptian and Greek in three writing systems: hieroglyphics, demotic script (a cursive form of Egyptian hieroglyphics), and the Greek alphabet- therefore it provided a key to the translation of Egyptian hieroglyphic writings. This is quite significant because Rosetta Stone along with ‘babbel’ are two popular language programs today. I think this shows that once again the world is trying to get back to how it was at the Tower of Babel, and its one world language and religion.
These New age spiritual leaders have a firmly entrenched anti-Christian worldview, they believe that the fall was really man’s ascent into knowledge, assisted by lucifer- who they hail as the wisdom and light-bearer. Many expect an imminent, apocalyptic transformation that will lead humanity into a new age- and that the earth will be “cleansed” by those “who refuse to evolve”. The bible calls this the rapture! Yep, it will be us bible believing Christians who are standing in their way for this “new age” to come into fruition- this “new age” will be lead by satan himself and the Anti-Christ’s one-world beast system (when we’re gone, don’t worry- we haven’t been abducted by aliens despite what people tell you).
Among those who believe in this concept is a lady named Barbara Marx Hubbard- author, speaker and co-founder and president of the foundation for conscious evolution, credited with the wheel of co-creation 2.0 and concepts such as the “birthing of humanity”. As discussed in my previous blog, she paved the way for the expanse of New age. In her “evolutionary synthesis” she quotes on work by mark comings, an internationally known physicist, math edition and mystic who is considered “one of the world’s first post-quantum physicist”- his discussions are about space, time, light, energy and consciousness), and she mentions others including American physicist Heinz R. Pagels. Hubbard refers to Heinz’ book named “cosmic code” which is considered to be one of the most important books on quantum mechanics.
If you briefly read this page for example; she quotes the phrase from the emerald tablets of Hermes Trismegistus “as above, so below. As within, so without”.
It’s also important to note that the word “mystery” is capitalised in the first paragraph… this is mystery religion- the whore of Babylon herself- she is referring to her by name: “and on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS, AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.”
As you know, this is straight Gnosticism, as implied in her last paragraph- she expresses her gnostic view that when we reach this “new knowledge” and join the “universal intelligence” and “exit creation” we can be creators ourselves, (like God).
“You shall be like God”- Genesis 3:5.
The hermetic code was huge in the medieval and renascent time, as well as a key influence in freemasonry, theosophy, Islam, Jewish Kabala and anyone involved in alchemy. Originally the text was in Arabic and first translated into Latin- it was then further translated by alchemists such as Issac Newton who also wrote a commentary on the text.
Among others who got the hands on the tablets include Helena Blavatsky – a Russian and American mystic and author who founded the theosophical society in 1875. She gained an international following as the primary founder of theosophy and this is the logo for that society:
The word theosophy comes from the Greek word “theos” (god) and “Sophia” (wisdom)- literally meaning “divine wisdom”. The roots of this philosophy can obviously be traced back to Gnosticism (as talked about on my previous blog). Theosophy teaches that all religions contain elements of “ancient wisdom” and those who have been ‘enlightened’ by the ‘divine wisdom’ can access a transcendent spiritual reality through mystical experience- its concepts are drawn heavily from Hinduism and many other religions (because they are all the same).
Another man and occultist who got their hands on the tablets was a man by the name of William walker Atkinson- who is believed to be a writer of the book ‘the Kabalion’ in the book he lays out the 7 principles of the universe supposedly translated from the emerald tablets themselves.
Next to the principles, we have the symbol of mercury. The symbol of mercury is a caduceus (a staff intertwined with two serpents), a symbol associated with mercury/ Hermes, along with the symbol for Venus (designed as the female symbol). As you know, the goddess Venus stems from the Tower of Babel and the personage of Semiramis- who is also the goddess Astarte and the female figure in all world wide religions such as Mary in Catholicism, isis in Egypt, maya in Buddhism, moon in Islam, Sophia in Gnosticism… and so on… this female symbol represents being able to transcend earth and heaven, life and death. As wonderful as this sounds, its nothing but a dangerous deception from Satan- it comes from the concept of reaching ‘serpent knowledge’ and the lie of being able to transcend all creation.
Mercury, called quicksilver by the ancients- was used to make red mercuric oxide by heating the elements in a solution of nitric acid. Alchemists were convinced that mercury transcended both the solid and liquid states, earth and heaven, life and death. Mercury is one of the 7 metals of alchemy (gold, silver, mercury, copper, lead, iron and tin).
Among others, the mercury symbol is found in the baphomet- a satanic figure incorporated across various occults from groups such as the church of satan, the knights Templars and secret societies of the Roman Catholic Church. We again have the concept of balance- both animal and human, male and female, light and dark :“as above so bellow” (pointing up and down to the light and dark moons). This imagery reflects symbols such as the Yang yang sign.
Out of the many symbols included the cadusus symbol (medicine symbol) is displayed on the figure’s stomach; this points us back to the image of Hermes and his staff. This symbol is widely used in medicine and pharmaceuticals- which is particularly interesting given that the word ‘pharmacy’ is ‘pharmakeia’ in Greek- translated “witchcraft” or “sorcery”.
The Greek word for sorcery, pharmakeia, appears in Revelation 18:23, describing Babylon’s deception of the nations. While often associated with drug use, pharmakeia also encompasses occult practices and manipulative technologies throughout the ages.
The technological advancements of our age, heralded as progress, bear striking similarities to the practices condemned in Scripture. In ancient times, sorcery (pharmakeia) intertwined with the occult, using potions and rituals to manipulate spiritual forces. Today, the manipulation of biology, digital consciousness, and the integration of man with machine echo these forbidden practices. The resurgence of practices like divination, ritual magic, and the normalization of witchcraft in popular culture are not coincidental. They reveal a society increasingly willing to blend the physical and spiritual realms in defiance of God’s design.
In addition, the body of this figure is half man and half goat: if you go back to Greek mythology, Hermes had a child by the name of ‘pan’ who is also half man, half goat. He is considered ‘god of the wild, the shepherds and the flocks, but he is also known to be a musician who loves loud and chaotic music (we definitely see this influence today; even in Christian culture!). I could suggest that these gods and deities are in fact fallen angels. Also I think its important to note the power of music- remember Satan was a musician too- he knows how to use it.
The fact that this is an androgynous being leads us back to ‘balance’ and one of the Trismegistus principles we saw earlier- “the principle of gender”. We see the same concepts in the entity of the free masons- the Rebis. (Meaning dual, or double matter).
As we have already established; balance is a core principle in all religions and cults: in free masonry it is represented by a variety of symbols including the compass and the square compass (as seen in this image), male and female (as seen from the heads) and light and dark (the sun and moon). A “rebis” in alchemy refers to the final product of the “magnum opus” (great work), often depicted as an androgynous being, symbolising the union of opposing forces.
It’s also important to mention the mercury symbol is found at the top- which represents reaching “top” / “serpent” knowledge which they believe gives you the ability to “transcend earth and heaven” as we have seen in every occult and pagan religion on earth- they are all worshipping the same principles of the hermetic code.
Hermeticism comes from the supposed teachings of Hermes trismagistus , interestingly if we look at artwork depicting we see some things that we ought to take note on.
In this mosaic artwork (as seen above) that is in the cathedral of Siena, we see that the griffin’s tails are forming an infinity symbol. We see this again in multiple artworks such as this 17th century depiction of “Hermes delivering solar and lunar alchemical knowledge to practitioners” (See image below).
In Hermetisism, the infinity symbol represents the concept of eternal cycles, limitless potential and the interconnectedness of all things. The symmetrical shape signifies to balance and harmony between opposing forces. It’s often symbolised by the ‘ouroboros (a serpent eating its own tail) signifying the continuous flow of creation and destruction within the universe; essentially the idea that everything’s is constantly renewing and transforming without beginning or end. As we have already discovered that all religion have the same foundations: the infinity concept and symbolism is a principle in all religions including new age and atheism.
The bible tells us that only God is not limited to time and space. We and the earth however are created, finite beings. Matthew 24:35 tells us: “heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away”. Only God is exceedingly far above creation, He is infinitely above and beyond us that we cannot fully comprehend it.
James tells us in chapter 4 verse 14: “for what is your life? It is a vapour that appears for a little while and then vanishes away”.
Thankfully God has revealed Himself to us both through creation and our conscience and the written word of God- the bible and the living word of God, Jesus Christ. Therefore we can know God, and we can know how to live according to His will and know How to be reconciled to Him. “For God so loved the world that He have His only begotten son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life” (John 3:16). Eternal life is a gift of God that only comes through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23) and starts at the moment a person gives their life to Christ: “Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life: he that believes in me though he were dead, yet he shall live, and whosoever trusts and believes in me shall never die” (John 11:25-26). The bible clearly states that Jesus is the only way: “salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved” (acts 4:12). It cannot be gained through any of our own doing: “for by grace you have been saved through faith, its not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not works, lest anyone should boast” (Ephesians 2:9).
I would have to strongly argue that balance is not a biblical concept. No where in the bible does it call us to live a balanced or comfortable life; it calls us to loose our life and find it in the Lord alone: “for whosoever will save his life will lose it, and whosoever will lose his life for my sake will find it” (Matthew 16:25).
“Jesus replied, “love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and all your mind” (Matthew 22:37)
“Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31)

Hermetisism is highly connected to futurism which is highly involved in the new age movement, because that is the conscious evolution. It is not only a scientific movement but also a philosophical one- transhumanists envision a future where humans become “post human” beings that transcend humanity and creation and all biological roots. They hold the belief that God is the “universal mind” and that we can “co-create” with Him thus “conquering the universe”.
Klaus Schwab is the founder and former executive chairman of the World Economic forum (WEF). The focus of the WEF aims to bring together world leaders and business heads to address important global issues. As great as this may sound, as we’ve learnt from the Tower of Babel that unity is not always good- particularly as it is normally a means to unify against God and His people. At Babel they built a tower to try and surpass God, by trying to become gods themselves- but this idea has never left and its not only a popular belief in new age and transumanism but its also in our churches.
And one of the ways its being passed along is through technology whether that be subtly through biotechnology or straight up merging man with machine.
Klaus’ ‘4th industrial revolution’ book clearly states in the appendix that his goals amongst many are to form a ‘one world government’, but they’re going to achieve it through technology. He lists out 21 different technologies that they seek to take advantage of in order to accomplish their goals. He states “the one who masters these technologies ultimately will be the master of the world”.
As we know from the word of God “there is nothing new under the sun” (Ecclesiastes 1:9). Due to the fact that Satan can’t do anything new, we see a repetition throughout all of history. If we follow back, we can see that Klaus Schwab has mimicked this 4th industrial revolution off of the 3rd Reich and what was going on in Nazi Germany. Going back to the early 1900s, there was an institute called ‘cold springs harbour institute’ which was funded by the Rockefeller organisation as well as the Carnegie corporation- they were doing a eugenics program where they were trying to increase human speed, dexterity, intelligence, ultimately trying to make ‘super-humans’: Hitler took this inspiration for his own eugenics programs that he was doing in nazi Germany.
The Bible speaks of a coming time when deception will be so pervasive that “if possible, even the elect” (Matthew 24:24) could be led astray. The transhumanist movement, with its promises of immortality, enhanced abilities, and a new era of human evolution, is laying the groundwork for this deception. By conditioning us to accept these ideas now, the stage is being set for the arrival of the Antichrist and his system of control.
The desensitisation we are experiencing yet again is not just about accepting transhumasism and a “new normal” but it is preparing us to accept the ultimate control mechanism, the mark of the beast in the coming seven year tribulation period.
“and he [the Antichrist] causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bound, to receive a mark in their right hand, or on their foreheads: and that no man could buy or sell unless he has the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that has understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of man; and his number is six hundred threescore and six [666]”- revelation 13:16-18.
In the warning in Revelation 14:9-11 it states that the consequence of taking the mark is sealing our fate to eternal damnation. This is a stark contrast to the gospel where we can call out to the Lord for mercy and grace at our last breath and He will save us- so what is it about the mark that will prevent us from receiving salvation? It will make us no-longer human (trans-human). The question we have to therefore ask, what percentage of change to our biology and DNA does it take to become no longer human?
Jesus Himself referenced the days of Noah when describing the conditions preceding His return: “For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah” (Matthew 24:37). This suggests a return to similar patterns of corruption and spiritual rebellion. Many theologians believe that the pre-flood world was not primitive but highly advanced, with knowledge and technology imparted by these fallen angels. Fast forward to the 20th and 21st centuries, and humanity has witnessed an explosion of technological innovation. From the Industrial Revolution to the Digital Age, the pace of advancement defies natural explanation. Transhumanism, the pursuit of merging human biology with technology, is another area where modern advancements intersect with biblical prophecy. By attempting to “upgrade” humanity, transhumanists echo the serpent’s ancient lie: “You will be like God” (Genesis 3:5). Technologies like Neuralink, which seeks to connect the human brain to computers, blur the lines between humanity and machine, paving the way for the dehumanising control mechanisms described in Revelation 13. Modern day technology suggests a convergence of human ingenuity and external influence, aligning with the satanic blueprint for the end times. These advancements may seem beneficial at the face of it but they carry profound spiritual implications that demand discernment from believers. With the advances in quantum computing, which promises to solve complex problems at unimaginable speeds, AI represents an inhumane quantum leap in human capability. But at what cost?
This technology and the rise of transhumanism are not merely advancements in science and innovation; they represent a spiritual battle for the heart and soul of humanity. The blending of sorcery with technology, normalisation of ancient occult practices, and the promise of godlike power through human ingenuity point to the ultimate deception foretold in Scripture. More than ever believers must be vigilant, rooted in God’s Word, and committed to His truth.
The time is short, and the battle is real. Yet, we take comfort in the promise that Christ has already secured the ultimate victory. While the world embraces deception, the faithful must stand firm, proclaiming the Gospel and looking toward the blessed hope of His return (Titus 2:13). Let us be found ready, prepared to give an answer to those who ask about the hope within us, and steadfast in our commitment to the truth that sets us free.
